I paint and sculpt the sounds of Paris.

Arnaud, a musician turned painter and sculptor, lives in Paris. He listens to the city and translates it into colour, form, and matter. For Urban and Collective Memory, he presents for the first time a series on the sounds of Paris: parks, murmurs, footsteps, the metro, silences, translated into paintings and sculptures. A city that is no longer seen, but felt.

This series extends his ideamorphic practice: a way of letting an idea shift from one register to another — from sound to colour, from gesture to form — without losing what makes it vibrate.
